1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Old Family Recipe ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Service.

2. Description of Service

Old Family Recipe is a web-based service that allows you to store, organize, and share family recipes. The Service includes features for preserving recipes with stories, photos, and provenance information, meal planning, and family collaboration.

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

You must create an account to use the Service. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. User Content

4.1 Ownership

You retain all ownership rights to the recipes, photos, stories, and other content you upload to Old Family Recipe ("User Content"). You grant us a limited license to store, display, and process your User Content solely to provide the Service.

4.2 Content Responsibility

You are solely responsible for your User Content. You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights to upload and share your User Content and that your User Content does not violate any third-party rights or applicable laws.

4.3 Prohibited Content

You agree not to upload content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, or violates any applicable laws or regulations. We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms.

5. Subscription and Billing

5.1 Free Tier

The Service offers a free tier with limited features. Free tier users may save unlimited family recipes, create up to Infinity meal plans per month, and use Sage AI within the free-tier usage limits (250 Sage conversations/month). The Service reserves the right to enforce reasonable per-day recipe write rate limits for abuse prevention.

5.2 Premium Subscription

Premium subscriptions are billed monthly ($12/month) or annually ($119/year). Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled. You may cancel your subscription at any time, and cancellation takes effect at the end of your billing period.

5.3 Refunds

Refunds are provided on a case-by-case basis. Contact support for refund requests. Annual subscriptions may be eligible for prorated refunds if cancelled within 30 days of purchase.

6. Family Accounts

Premium users may invite up to 10 family members to their account. You are responsible for the actions of family members you invite. Family members can view and edit shared recipes. You can remove family members at any time.

7. Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may perform maintenance, updates, or modifications that temporarily affect service availability. We are not liable for any loss or damage resulting from service interruptions.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, and functionality, is owned by Old Family Recipe and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works of the Service without our express written permission.

9. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting support or using the account deletion feature. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination, your access to the Service will cease, and we may delete your account and data after a reasonable retention period.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OLDFAMILYRECIPE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
